Step 1: Find an appropriate surface to work on, that can get messy.
Step 2: Place something non-stick on your work surface. Generally this will be something with a smooth surface, I use plastic/acetate sheets.
Step 3: Bring all the items you need, so they are there ready. These items include PVA glue: thats easy to pour, water and the material you want to use. This can be ink, paint, dye anything liquefied. In this case I have used brusho. Each media will need different techniques to create different effects. For instance, Paint needs swishing around with the end of a paintbrush, otherwise it would just be a blob. Its fairly straight forward it just take practice to learn what needs what.
Step 4: Once everything is at hand pour your glue on to the plastic sheet. Take your time though, as the glue spreads and before you know it, it could be bigger than the sheet which is never a good thing.
Step 5: Swish the glue about a bit to thin out the glue.
Step 6: Select the colours that you are going to use.
Step 7: Select your first colour.
Step 9: Splash water on the colour using a medium-large paintbrush to encourage the colour to spread.
Don't add too much water, as the powder may loose its effect, and your creation could end up being just a big splodge of one dark colour.
Step 10: Repeat this process with you chosen colours, until your satisfied.
Step 11: Leave your creation on a flat surface to dry, this should take approximately 2 days.
Step 12: Once the piece is dry peel it off the plastic sheet. If it is difficult to peel then its not quite ready, so leave it for another day or so.
Step 13: Now you can do what you want with piece. I have been photographing them on a window and then sticking them into my sketchbook.
These are the images of the piece on a window:
And this is the piece in my sketchbook:
